Simplest form of A fraction is a fraction that has the top and bottom cannot be any smaller (simplified), while still being whole numbers.

Example

3/6 can be simplified to 1/2

1/2 can’t be simplified

So 1/2 is the simplest form

How to simplify a fraction?

Divide the top and bottom by the greatest number that will divide both numbers exactly (Greatest Common Factor), they must stay whole numbers.
